Primrose Beach House
The Primrose Beach House project was commissioned by Bill and Cindy Crawford as a retirement home located in the Panama City Panhandle. The goal is to design a home between 2,000 and 2,500 square feet on a narrow waterfront lot. The clients have requested a layout that includes three bedrooms and two and a half bathrooms. As this will serve as their retirement residence, the design will thoughtfully incorporate aging-in-place principles. Both the exterior and interior will reflect the clients’ preference for the Art Deco style.

Strongly influenced by Art Deco architecture, the Primrose Beach House features a striking façade of curved geometric forms and a white stucco finish, reflecting the movement’s focus on bold form, elegance, and modernity. A blended concrete-and-grass driveway softens the approach, grounding the home in its natural coastal setting. Inside, the design continues to merge Art Deco with modernism—bold patterns, rich colors, and sculptural details reference the decorative flair of the 1920s and ’30s, while the clean lines, open layout, and functional flow reflect a modern sensibility. The result is a refined yet livable space that celebrates Art Deco’s historical impact while supporting a contemporary lifestyle.
